Happy NEW YEAR!!! I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season filled with love, laughter and smiles galore!! If you follow me on Facebook you will know that I stuck to my Hammer & Chisel routine while traveling — well, at least the workouts & my precious superfood blend! I am all about the 80/20 rule, especially when it comes to the holidays and traveling. I wasn’t about to deprive myself of homemade treats and delicious wine! But I prepared for that by sticking to a fairly strict nutrition plan before we left and I am now back to that plan for my last 4 weeks of the program.
Here are my results after 4 weeks of the program and I will tell you right now that if you are obsessed with the number on the scale then you need to throw it away before you start Hammer & Chisel. Look at my photos. How much weight do you think I have lost? I have lost ZERO pounds and I actually gained weight over Christmas week, but I’m back down to where I started. I have lost 2 inches in my waist and about 1/2 an inch from each arm but for the most part my measurements haven’t moved much. If I wasn’t taking photos I would be completely discouraged about these numbers…. but again, LOOK AT MY PHOTOS!! I feel AWESOME! And STRONG!
I always tell my clients to stop obsessing over the scale. It does not tell the TRUTH. For real. Get it out of your house if you can’t stay off of it. Do not let it dictate your thoughts about yourself. Go by photos and how you FEEL in your skin and in your clothes.
Maybe you wish you could look like I do in my before photos but I will tell you that I do not feel good in my skin in those photos. That is me indulging a little too much. Waking up feeling sluggish because I was not feeding my body nutrient-dense food. That is me letting my sugar addiction creep back in. That is me not taking care of myself. So, if you say “You looked great before!” then I will say “thank you” but that is not me FEELING good. And that is all that matters to me.
