Anyone who knows me (and seen my tattoos) knows how much of a role music has played in my life. I played clarinet, guitar and piano growing up and I spent a few years out of college working in the music industry in NYC. Of course, my life has taken me down a completely different road, but there isn’t a shortage of dance parties in this house! We are also big on jam sessions – just give us some maracas and tambourines! So when Music & Arts, the nation’s largest school music company and provider of lessons in the country, reached out to me and offered to send my kids a BEAUTIFUL guitar I, of course, jumped at the chance to do a giveaway.
As you can see in the photos, the guitar isn’t quite full sized (it’s quarter sized), but the kids still have a few years to grow into it. Molly loves it and is constantly asking me to play her “buitar.” I love that my kids are so into music and I will continue to expose them to all types until they are able to pick their favorites. Who am I kidding, Molly already specifically asks for Rapunzel, Rudolph and Jingle Bells.
Another reason for instilling a love of music in my children is that countless studies have shown that children who play musical instruments perform better academically, from higher SAT scores to being better equipped to comprehend mathematical and scientific concepts.
So, who wants a $25 to Music & Arts? You can use it for lessons, instruments or rentals! They have locations all over! Click here to find the closest one to you! Enter below!
Burke liked the box the best! Oh babies, why do we buy them toys again?
